The Randolph Caldecott Medal is presented annually to "the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children published in English in the United States during the preceding year".ALSC Caldecott Medal
The Columbus Center IRC Caldecott Award collection includes a copy of each winning title from 1989 through 2010. These books have a call number beginning with Col Caldecott plus the year. For example, the 2010 Caldecott Award Book is The Lion & The Mouse by Jerry Pinkney, it's call number is COL Caldecott 2010. Part of the IRC circulating collection, juvenile award books circulate for a period of three weeks with four renewals.
